The wraps are off the 2027 Volkswagen Amarok W600, which the German brand describes as the ultimate driver's ute.

Walkinshaw Automotive has upgraded the model based on the Amarok Style dual-cab with an extensive range of visual and chassis modifications.

The 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6 continues to deliver 184kW and 600Nm yet now includes a dual exhaust system featuring side-exit outlets finished in shadow chrome.

Handling benefits from the removal of the front sway bar together with the addition of a 22mm rear unit. Bespoke Koni dampers tuned by the Walkinshaw team complete the suspension package.

Unique 20x10-inch alloy wheels with wider offsets wear Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tires.

Front bumper and wheel-arch styling revisions join a color-coded rear sailplane, power-retractable side steps, entry puddle lamps and Walkinshaw badging.

The interior gains Walkinshaw-branded brushed door sills, aluminum sports pedals plus embroidered head restraints and carpet mats.

Although derived from the Style variant the W600 incorporates heated 10-way Savona leather seats from the Aventura featuring firmer bolsters and lumbar support along with a 12.3-inch digital cluster, 12.0-inch infotainment display, wireless charging, 230V outlets and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon system.

An electric roller cover for the tub is offered as an option.

Targeting on-road performance the W600 follows the approach of the earlier W580S rather than the off-road focused W580X.
