The 2027 Toyota Sequoia adopts changes from the Tundra, including a refreshed front fascia and the new Trailhunter off-road trim.
Derived from the SR5, the Trailhunter includes Old Man Emu suspension components, Michelin LTX Trail tires, a rear locking differential, plus additional skid plates.
Every Sequoia model now comes with an expanded grille, and the interior features a 14.0-inch touchscreen standard, even on the entry-level SR5.

Just days after Toyota unveiled the 2027 Tundra with its Trailhunter model and minor refresh, the automaker applies similar updates to its full-size SUV. The 2027 Sequoia features a revised front design, extra technology, and its own Trailhunter variant.

The updates align with the Sequoia sharing the TNGA-F platform and optional hybrid powertrain with the Tundra. Exterior revisions are modest, featuring an even larger grille and rectangular fog lights integrated into the front bumper, while the lower bumper appears more substantial.

The standout addition is the Trailhunter package on the SR5 trim. It brings suspension upgrades from Old Man Emu, the same supplier used on Trailhunter versions of the Tacoma Hybrid and 4Runner Hybrid.

The Sequoia Trailhunter rides on Michelin LTX Trail 265/70R-18 tires and adds front recovery hooks, extra underbody protection, and a locking rear differential. It also includes Multi-Terrain Select modes and Crawl Control, with bronze wheels and Trailhunter badges for visual distinction.

Inside, the SR5 gains a 14.0-inch touchscreen as standard across all trims instead of the prior 8.0-inch unit. The display runs the latest Toyota infotainment with enhanced voice features and a built-in dash camera that records 20-second clips. Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 now offers improved hardware and detection for adaptive cruise, auto high beams, and emergency braking.

Toyota notes the optional grille LED light bar is brighter, and RIGID fog lights plus front recovery hooks are now available across the lineup. The Sequoia continues in six trims: SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone. Pricing and full specs will be released before sales begin this fall.
