Following the unveiling of the final model in its refreshed GLS range yesterday, Mercedes-Benz has now confirmed Australian pricing for the three-row SUV family.

The Mercedes-Benz GLS starts at $181,900 before on-road costs. The performance-focused AMG GLS63 S is listed at $313,900 plus on-roads, while the luxurious Mercedes-Maybach GLS680 carries a price of $424,900 plus on-road costs.

Pre-orders are open now, with customer deliveries scheduled from November 2026, except for the AMG and Maybach versions which arrive in early 2027.

Buyers who place an order for a GLS450 or GLS450d before September 30, 2026 will receive a complimentary three-year service plan.

The turbocharged inline-six petrol GLS450 returns to the Australian range after being discontinued during the previous 2024 update.

Every GLS model comes with a nine-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. Each also includes a 48V mild-hybrid system with an integrated starter generator to improve efficiency through energy recovery and engine-off coasting.

The GLS450 delivers 280kW and 560Nm from its 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol inline-six, an increase from the previous 500Nm output. The GLS450d uses a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel inline-six producing 270kW and 750Nm. Both models include standard Airmatic air suspension and 22-inch alloy wheels.

The AMG GLS63 S steps up to a twin-turbo 4.0-litre petrol V8 with 450kW and 850Nm. It comes with 23-inch forged wheels, AMG Ride Control+ suspension and an electronic rear limited-slip differential as standard.

The Maybach GLS680 matches those power and torque figures and adds E-Active Body Control suspension along with unique 23-inch forged wheels.

It takes the place of the previous GLS600, with power rising by 40kW and torque by 80Nm to align with the AMG GLS63 S, which keeps identical outputs despite switching to the updated M177 Evo V8.

A wide selection of options is offered across the GLS range.

The Towbar Package is the sole option available on all Benz, AMG and Maybach models. Priced at $3000, it includes a trailer coupling with a braked towing capacity of 3500kg and 280kg downball rating.

The Plus Package costs $6500 on the GLS450 and GLS450d and adds Digital Light LED headlights with projection function, a heated steering wheel, multicontour front seats with luxury head restraints and Seat Heating Plus, the Air Balance package, temperature-controlled cupholders, Magic Vision Control and the Acoustic Comfort Package.

The Rear Comfort Package is priced at $14,000 for the GLS450 and GLS450d and includes the MBUX High-End Rear Seat Entertainment System with two 11.6-inch displays and wireless headsets, Rear Comfort Package Plus, multicontour second-row seats with heating, ventilation and massage, an extended centre console, a rear-seat MBUX control tablet, rear wireless phone chargers, rear sun-blinds, heated third-row seats and power-folding second- and third-row seats.

The AMG Carbon-Fibre Package adds carbon-fibre interior trim, a carbon-fibre engine cover and a carbon-fibre and microfibre steering wheel to the AMG GLS63 S for $8500.

Standalone options include electric rear-door sun-blinds for $1400 on all GLS variants except the Maybach, and E-Active Body Control suspension for $13,500 on the GLS450d only.

Given its position as the most expensive GLS, the Maybach offers the highest-priced extras. A First Class Rear Package is available for $14,700 and provides two individual rear seats, a refrigerated compartment and champagne flute holders complete with flutes.

The Night Series package costs $37,500 and brings darkened interior and exterior trim, 23-inch forged black wheels, Black Flamed open-pore wood trim and additional dark-themed styling elements.

This marks the second facelift for the current GLS generation introduced in 2019, following the 2024 update.

Changes include a larger grille, bigger headlight clusters that incorporate the latest Digital Light LED technology and appear to merge with the grille, a revised front bumper, new wheel designs and a new full-width rear light assembly.

The cabin features the MBUX Superscreen as standard, combining a digital instrument cluster, infotainment touchscreen and passenger display beneath a single glass panel, with all screens measuring 12.3 inches.
