Hyundai Australia has confirmed the Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink will rejoin the local range with hybrid power, reaching showrooms this month from $92,400 before on-road costs.

The updated Calligraphy Black Ink accompanies the second-generation Palisade, which arrived in Australia in late 2025 featuring a longer wheelbase, expanded cargo space and a chassis calibration tailored for local conditions.

Its $92,400 before on-road costs pricing exceeds that of the prior model, previously available in petrol and diesel forms at $78,400 and $81,719 before on-road costs.

The new Calligraphy Black Ink positions above the entry-level Palisade Elite from $76,500 before on-road costs and the standard Calligraphy from $89,828 before on-road costs.

Following its predecessor, the Black Ink applies numerous dark cosmetic upgrades for a $2572 premium over the standard Calligraphy model.

These comprise gloss black 21-inch alloy wheels, a hot-stamped black front grille with satin-black surround, black window surrounds, a satin-black lower bumper garnish, satin-black belt-line trim and black roof rails.

Exterior hues are restricted to Abyss Black and Creamy White, both free of the $650 metallic paint fee, while the cabin gains black metallic accents, Nappa leather upholstery and an eight-seat layout.

Like other Palisades, a seven-seat setup with second-row captain's chairs can be added for $1000, raising the total to $93,400 before on-road costs.

The Palisade Calligraphy Black Ink employs a dual-motor 245kW/460Nm 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol-electric hybrid paired with a six-speed automatic and all-wheel drive.

Claimed combined fuel use stands at 6.8L/100km, an improvement over the prior diesel at 7.3L/100km and V6 petrol at 10.7L/100km.

The 5065mm-long Palisade cabin houses a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and matching digital cluster, with standard items including satellite navigation, power-adjustable front seats, a 14-speaker audio system and a Vehicle-to-Load outlet.

Introduction of the new Palisade has driven a 38.1 per cent sales rise for Hyundai in the first half of 2026, the strongest gain across its model range.
