The Audi A3 receives a technical and visual update for Europe. Revisions center on cabin layout, addition of a panoramic screen setup, and more driver assistance options. All variants and body types in the compact class receive the changes, from standard models to the sport-oriented S3 and RS3.

Updated Cabin Design

The main interior revision introduces a curved display arrangement featuring an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a 12.8-inch wide MMI touchscreen. A broad trim piece spans the dash from driver side to passenger side for a unified horizontal appearance.

Left side shows the refreshed layout while right side displays the prior version. Physical climate switches are removed, and the wheel shifts away from traditional buttons.

Audi offers four cabin material options such as carbon fiber, Dinamica suede-like fabric, plus two textiles named Impressum Black and Light Crepe. The console is reworked with phone storage angled toward the driver.

Wireless charging now supports 25 watts. Steering wheels incorporate a roller control in the multifunction area. Customers select from two double-spoke styles or a three-spoke version flattened top and bottom on S-line and S variants.

Broader Assistance Features

Driver aids are grouped into three tiers called Tech, Tech plus, and Tech pro. The adaptive driving assistant plus merges cruise control with lane centering up to 130 mph. On automatic models the system handles speed and steering via markings, edges, and nearby vehicles.

Automatic lane shifts on motorways follow signal activation, plus automatic stops at red lights and restarts on green. The system now uses collective data to match average speeds on specific road sections.

Online information allows lane support in city and country roads even without clear markings. This option comes free for three years after delivery and extends for a charge afterward.

Four wide-view cameras deliver a 360-degree surround image in the MMI for parking. Park Assist plus and pro detect spaces via camera and handle steering, throttle, brakes, and shifts for parallel or angled spots.

Park Assist pro adds remote parking via smartphone app from outside the car. Trained parking stores up to five custom maneuvers each reaching 164 feet for automatic replay.

Connectivity Options

App linkage lets users view status details remotely such as location, locks, windows, lights, mileage, fuel, tires, oil, and service needs. The heater plus lock and unlock functions respond to phone commands.

Functions on Demand allow later activation of paid software items including an audio optimization pack and virtual surround audio.

Variants And Engines

Body styles and power units stay the same. Besides Sportback and Sedan the A3 allstreet crossover joins since spring 2024 with roughly 1.2 inches extra clearance and rugged styling touches. Engines cover gasoline and diesel units from 114 hp to 148 hp.

The plug-in hybrid A3 e-hybrid delivers 201 hp or 268 hp total with up to 89 miles electric range on WLTP. DC fast charging takes about 30 minutes and towing rises by 661 pounds to 3,748 pounds.

S3 and RS3 models include quattro drive with rear torque vectoring. The S3 uses a 328-hp turbo four while the RS3 has a 394-hp turbo five. Sport versions show unique grille marks and daytime light patterns, with RS3 gaining wider fenders. Matrix LED lights offer four selectable daytime signatures through the MMI.

Availability And Costs

Updated A3 models reach showrooms from mid-September 2026. In Germany the A3 Sportback begins at 31,850 euros and the e-hybrid Sportback at 45,350 euros. Performance versions start at 57,200 euros for the S3 and 68,500 euros for the RS3.
