US Central Command stated it finished a series of defensive strikes on military, surveillance and radar locations in southern Iran, shortly after President Donald Trump promised strong action against Iran.

Tehran answered with its own strikes aimed at American military sites in Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.

Early Thursday, Iran's foreign ministry declared the overnight actions broke the two-month ceasefire and made it effectively void.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported firing ballistic missiles at a US command post in Jordan, according to state media.

It claimed destruction of numerous US jets and facilities using 12 missiles directed at Muwaffaq Salti Airbase.

Jordanian state media indicated 20 missiles were intercepted by air defenses, quoting a military source.

The projectiles headed toward Azraq in central Jordan and caused no injuries or damage, it added.

Bahrain's interior ministry reported air raid sirens sounding and shrapnel from downed Iranian drones striking homes and cars in Manama and Hamad Town.

An 11-year-old girl received treatment for a slight wound, the ministry noted, labeling the strikes wrongful.

Kuwait's army announced on X that its defenses intercepted hostile aerial targets.

Kuwait temporarily shut its airspace amid the attacks before reopening it early Thursday.

Inside Iran, state outlets described blasts near Tehran, Bandar Abbas port and other southern zones close to the Strait of Hormuz.

The IRGC said it struck two oil tankers in the vital waterway soon after reports emerged of the strait closing to all traffic, though confirmation of hits remains pending.

Centcom noted that commercial vessels continue moving through the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil prices increased after the shipping lane closure and tanker reports surfaced.
