US President Donald Trump stated that American forces will strike Iran tonight via a post on Truth Social issued Thursday afternoon.

"At some point in the not too distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets," he added.

Trump noted his long standing preference to seize Kharg Island during a Thursday call with Fox, though he questioned whether America possesses the resolve for such a move.

He further discussed challenges in talks with Iran, noting that Tehran initially resisted commitments against both purchasing and developing nuclear weapons before agreeing the following day.

Trump says Kurds were sent weapons, let the US down

Trump informed Fox that the Kurds disappointed the United States after receiving arms intended for distribution to Iranian demonstrators during January protests that occurred before the conflict.

In response to a query about his message for the Iranian people, Trump observed that they feel vulnerable given the weapons gap between the IRGC and unarmed demonstrators.

"We sent weapons and the Kurds let us down," Trump remarked, explaining he had opposed the initial plan to route arms through the Kurds due to concerns they might retain the supplies.

The Jerusalem Post had earlier reported that Israel sought to work with Iraqi and Iranian Kurds armed by the CIA and Mossad early in the conflict, but Trump blocked the effort.

Iran's enemies must accept ceasefire or face 'decisive' response, Defense Ministry spokesperson says

Iranian Defense Ministry spokesperson Reza Taleinik indicated Thursday that Iranian forces stand at peak readiness and that adversaries must agree to a ceasefire.

"Any crossing of the Islamic Republic's red lines by the enemy will face a decisive, regret-inducing and harsh punitive response," Taleinik said.
