Positioned along vital pathways connecting southern Lebanon to Hezbollah's core in the Bekaa Valley, it served as a primary conduit for transporting fighters and gear nationwide.

Where Hezbollah militants once sighted weapons toward Metula, the town's remnants are now secured by Givati Brigade's Sabar Battalion. Its deputy commander, known only by the initial A., conveyed to visiting journalists that their presence is indefinite.

"Our primary mission is to shield Metula and Kfar Yuval residents from the anti-tank missiles and direct fire they endured for so long," he stated during the IDF-guided tour on Wednesday.

"We maintain a robust forward defense here, committed to remain as long as required."
