Preparations for the yearly Tel Aviv Pride Parade got underway on Friday morning, with the procession expected to begin near 11 a.m.

The route is set to start on Shalag Street close to Gordon Beach and continue along the waterfront promenade before concluding at Charles Clore Park.

Israel Police stated that more than 1,000 officers, undercover personnel, Border Police, and volunteers will be stationed along the route to protect participants. Specialized teams from the air and maritime divisions will also support operations.

Security arrangements were coordinated with event organizers, the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality, MDA, and additional partners, police sources noted.

Restrictions include bans on two-wheeled vehicles, weapons, glass containers, alcohol, and animals (except service dogs) at both the parade and the closing party in Charles Clore Park.

Police close roads for Pride event

Officers have already begun blocking streets throughout Tel Aviv to facilitate the gathering, as reported by Israeli outlets.

Earlier in the week authorities listed the affected roads, which include:

Rokach Boulevard westbound from Ibn Gabirol Street.

Hayarkon Street southbound from Jabotinsky Street and northbound between Yosef Halevi Street and J. L. Gordon Street.

Herbert Samuel Street southbound from Shalag Street to Yehezkel Kaufman Street, including access roads.

Yehezkel Kaufman Street northbound from Eilat Street to Yosef Halevi Street.

Nahum Goldmann Street northbound from Eilat Street to Yosef Halevi Street and from Yossi Carmel Square to Kaufman.

Eilat Street westbound from Eliphelet Street.

Eliphelet Street northbound from Derekh Shalma.

Derekh Shalma westbound from Eliphelet Street.

Mapu Street between Yeho'ash Street and Hayarkon Street.

Frishman Street between Dizengoff Street and Herbert Samuel Street.

Trumpeldor Street between Ben Yehuda Street and Herbert Samuel Street.

Ness Ziona Street between Ben Yehuda Street and Hayarkon Street.

Ge'ula Street between HaKovshim Street and Herbert Samuel Street.

Nechemiah Street between HaKovshim Street and Herbert Samuel Street.

Carmelit Street between HaKovshim Street and Hayarkon Street.

Israel Police noted that further closures may occur as needed for safety.

Parking will be prohibited along the route, and the public is advised to rely on public transit.
