Mossad Director David Barnea made at least two visits to the United Arab Emirates during Operation Roaring Lion to align efforts on the war, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing Arab officials and a knowledgeable source. The trips took place in March and April.

Israeli broadcaster KAN News indicated that Shin Bet Director David Zini also traveled to the UAE, where the nations closely coordinated on security matters amid the conflict.

This account emerges shortly after the WSJ detailed UAE involvement in recent attacks on Iranian facilities, such as the early April strike on the Lavan Island refinery.

Sources cited by the Journal explained that the UAE conducted these operations covertly to retaliate against Iran's assaults on Emirati civilian and energy sites.

Iran responded by firing drones and missiles at the UAE and Kuwait, even without public confirmation of the initial attack's origin.

Israel and the UAE have deepened their alliance during the Iran war. U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee confirmed Israel supplied Iron Dome batteries and personnel to the UAE for protection against Iranian strikes, speaking at a Thursday conference at Tel Aviv University.

"Let me express thanks to the United Arab Emirates - they were the first Abraham Accords partner," Huckabee stated when addressing possible accord expansions.

"Think of the gains," he continued. "Israel provided Iron Dome systems and operators. The reason? A remarkable partnership between the UAE and Israel."

Further Actors in Iran War Come to Light

Reuters disclosed Tuesday that Saudi Arabia executed several unreported strikes on Iran to counter attacks on its soil during the Middle East conflict - marking the kingdom's first known direct strikes inside Iran.

Two Western officials placed the Saudi Air Force operations in late March, calling them "tit-for-tat" responses to prior hits on Saudi territory.

Reuters could not identify the precise targets.

A top Saudi foreign ministry official sidestepped questions on whether such strikes occurred.
