A Jewish family in Montreal faced antisemitic harassment at La Fontaine Park on Sunday evening while enjoying time with visiting relatives.

The episode started when the father approached a woman walking two dogs in the children's playground area and calmly noted that dogs were prohibited.

The woman replied with a profanity-laden rant captured on video.

She said in French, "Jews are not allowed here. Is that a law? Do not feed me that nonsense."

The father contacted the police.

The video footage shared on social media showed the woman returning to confront him and asking if he was attempting to intimidate her. She demanded to know his neighborhood.

When the father indicated he preferred no further interaction and that officers were en route, she yelled that she should be allowed with her dog in the park.

The father directed attention to a nearby sign prohibiting dogs with a $300 fine.

'Your kids are messed up because they do not attend a normal school'

The woman told him to mind his own affairs and added that his children were messed up because they did not attend a normal school, so he should not instruct her.

The clash began around 6:45 p.m. after the family's children were startled by dogs near a water fountain. A sign nearby confirmed dogs were banned.

The family waited over an hour for police before departing and filed a formal report the next day.

The father expressed shock at the woman's reaction, noting that Jewish community members were growing used to such daily hatred.

Montreal police confirmed they were contacted and are probing whether charges should be laid against the woman.

After the video appeared online, social media users identified the woman as Brigitte Doyon, an interior designer in Montreal.
