A young woman who volunteers with Magen David Adom (MDA) submitted a police complaint this week, stating that two fellow MDA volunteers sexually assaulted her in her apartment in Beit Shemesh.

In her report, the complainant indicated that the two men had provided her with drinks at a social event that were drugged before assaulting her at her residence.

The alleged incident occurred approximately nine months ago.

Since the accusation became public, both suspects have strongly denied the claims.

The suspects and the complainant reportedly knew each other well through their volunteer work with MDA.

Police investigation and detention

Following the complaint, police opened an investigation and detained both men, who are in their 20s, on suspicion of rape after collecting initial evidence.

Police have requested a six-day extension of the suspects' detention, and the court has currently ordered that one of them be released to house arrest.
