Following a short clash with Iran that concluded with intervention from US President Donald Trump, who also questioned whether Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would seek reelection, and amid coalition efforts to advance legislation equating Torah study with military service, Likud has slipped three seats to 22 according to a Maariv poll released Friday.

This marks Likud's weakest showing since August 2025, when it polled at 21 seats. The coalition as a whole held firm at 50 seats after Religious Zionism cleared the threshold once more. The opposition Zionist parties remained at 60 seats, and Arab lists gained 10.

Within the opposition, Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar! party gained three seats to reach a high of 20. Naftali Bennett's Together party dropped two seats to 21, creating a tight three-way contest for the biggest party among Likud, Together, and Yashar!. The opposition race is growing more competitive as the margin between Together and Yashar! narrows.

When asked which party they would support in a Knesset election held today, respondents chose: Likud 22, Together 21, Yashar! 20, the Democrats 10, Yisrael Beytenu 9, Otzma Yehudit 9, Shas 8, United Torah Judaism 7, Hadash-Ta'al 6, Ra'am 4, and Religious Zionists 4.

Blue and White, Balad, and the Reservists all fell below the threshold.

Bennett and Eisenkot Lead Netanyahu in Hypothetical Prime Minister Race

In a head-to-head matchup, Bennett edged Netanyahu 43 percent to 39 percent. Eisenkot extended his advantage over Netanyahu to 44 percent versus 40 percent. Netanyahu still led Avigdor Lieberman 41 percent to 37 percent, though the margin has tightened from the prior survey.

Half of Israelis said they trust Trump to support Israel's position against Iran, while 43 percent expressed little or no confidence and 7 percent were undecided.

The survey was conducted June 10-11 by Lazar Research with 500 participants representing Israel's adult population. The margin of error stands at 4.4 percent.
