Israeli citizens across the country received text messages on Tuesday containing recruitment offers and intimidation tactics linked to the Islamic Republic, sent from unknown numbers.

The Israel Police issued a statement identifying these messages as 'attempts by Iranian intelligence elements to recruit Israeli citizens in Israel and abroad.'

The texts featured propositions to purchase videos related to the Iran conflict that could harm Israel, along with invitations to 'build your future' by reaching out to Iranian embassies in multiple countries for collaboration with Iranian intelligence.

'Soon you will see the sun in the night sky'

Some messages aimed to intimidate recipients with warnings of impending military strikes.

'We promised you would soon see stars in the night sky that are not stars - soon you will see the sun in the night sky,' stated one such message.

Other texts accused the Israeli government of exploiting its people without repercussions.

'All Israelis are made to sacrifice themselves for the Prime Minister. He will never be arrested or tried. His courts are a farce,' read another.

Police advise anyone receiving these messages to disregard all links and attachments, and to immediately block the sender's number.
