Several Israeli ministers urged the government on Sunday to ramp up operations against Hezbollah and Beirut's Dahiyeh district following the group's continued rocket and drone attacks on Israeli troops and northern towns.

Hezbollah's persistent launches toward northern areas despite the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire represent a challenge to the prime minister's Dahiyeh approach, noted Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich in a Sunday social media post.

"I urge him to act with resolve and power and to destroy structures in Dahiyeh without delay," stated Smotrich. "We pledged safety to northern residents, and we must deliver!"

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir posted that he plans to share his views with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday about the Lebanon conflict.

"For every drone - a missile. For every breach - retaliation. For every drone - Dahiyeh must shake. For every harm to an IDF soldier - a thousand Hezbollah fighters," Ben-Gvir wrote. "We do not tolerate terror, we defeat it!"

Aliyah and Integration Minister Ofir Sofer also posted on Sunday that "Israel needs to strike Dahiyeh."

"Neither Shlomi nor any other Israeli community should serve as a routine target for Hezbollah," he added.

IDF reportedly set to pause Lebanon ground push amid upcoming US-Iran agreement

Israeli public broadcaster KAN News reported on Saturday, based on security sources, that Israel is preparing for a possible US-Iran deal that could lead to halting the IDF ground operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

According to the sources, the IDF is getting ready to cease deeper advances in Lebanon to protect the agreement, yet it will maintain its hold on the security zone.

The sources added that full IDF withdrawal matters will be addressed with Lebanon in Washington talks scheduled for later in June.

The IDF's 36th Division has kept advancing northward in Lebanon, per KAN, with some accounts indicating proximity to the major Lebanese city of Nabatieh.
