Eisenkot widens advantage over Netanyahu but neither side secures majority

Yashar leader Gadi Eisenkot and B'Yachad head Naftali Bennett improved their standing in the newest Knesset survey while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud lost ground, pushing the margin between the top two parties to four seats just days before voting, according to a Walla poll released Tuesday.

Conducted Monday after Benny Gantz pulled Blue and White from contention, the survey showed Yashar climbing to 23 mandates and Likud slipping one seat to 19.

B'Yachad added one mandate to reach 14, The Democrats led by Yair Golan eased to nine, and Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu fell to eight.

Shas rose one seat to eight while United Torah Judaism declined to seven; Otzma Yehudit held at eight and the Religious Zionist Party with Zehut stayed at six.

The Joint List remained at eight and Ra'am moved up one to six.

Attention now centers on whether Ofer Winter's People of Israel can clear the 3.25 percent threshold; the poll placed the party at 2.9 percent.

Meanwhile the Reservists-Economic Party headed by Yoaz Hendel and Yaron Zelekha crossed the threshold with four seats.

Neither political camp reached the 61-seat mark needed to form a government. Netanyahu's bloc lost one seat to land at 48 while opposition parties held steady at 54.

Although the opposition holds a six-seat cushion over the coalition side, it still requires extra partners to reach a majority.

This highlights the potential influence of parties outside the two main camps, though their eventual alignment remains unclear.

The survey also measured voter certainty. Overall, 45 percent said they were fully decided on their choice and another 49 percent described themselves as fairly certain. Five percent indicated low certainty and one percent said they remained completely undecided.

Certainty levels varied sharply by party: 81 percent of Joint List supporters, 68 percent of Likud voters, 62 percent of Religious Zionist Party and Zehut backers, 56 percent of Shas voters, 40 percent of Yashar supporters, and 23 percent of B'Yachad voters expressed complete certainty.

Viewed by bloc, 54 percent of coalition supporters felt fully decided compared with 35 percent of opposition voters.

The poll was carried out October 19, 2026, via the Panel4All online panel with 601 respondents representing Israel's adult population. Maximum sampling error stood at 4 percent, so single-seat shifts should be viewed cautiously.
