Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi cautioned in a Tuesday post on X that talks on a final agreement will not begin if American threats persist.

He pointed out that paragraph 13 of the Memorandum of Understanding makes this position clear, stating negotiations on the final deal will not start while threats remain in place.

Araghchi urged the United States to honor its signature on the document.

Paragraph 13 outlines commitments by both the United States and Iran to implement a ceasefire, lift the blockade on the Strait of Hormuz, waive sanctions, and unfreeze restricted assets.

The same section notes that the two countries will begin negotiations on the final deal exclusively regarding the other paragraphs.

Araghchi opened his message by noting that millions of proud Iranians had rallied in unity to honor Grand Ayatollah Khamenei and his legacy, adding that neither the people nor the armed forces are swayed by threats.

Trump Issues Warning in Monday Interview

During a Monday interview, President Donald Trump warned Iran that the United States would either reach a deal or finish the job.

He added that completing the task would not be difficult, though he preferred an agreement to avoid affecting 91 million people, noting the ability to eliminate electricity and power-generating plants in a short time.

At Ali Khamenei's funeral, crowds chanted calls for revenge and vowed to kill those responsible for the death of their leader.

Iran's military spokesman stated that forces remain on full alert, have used the ceasefire period to strengthen capabilities and update targets, and will respond more forcefully to any aggression than in the past.
