IDF paratroopers located a terror tunnel packed with numerous rockets in the southern Gaza Strip. Engineering units later demolished the site, according to a military statement released on Wednesday.

The discovery occurred during efforts to eliminate terrorist infrastructure above and below ground in the region held by Israeli forces, marked by the Yellow Line.

Footage released by the IDF features body camera video from a military dog belonging to the Oketz K9 unit. The dog explores the tunnel and identifies multiple munitions.

Dogs play a key role in tunnel reconnaissance because they assist troops in handling dangers within dark, confined, and unfamiliar spaces.

Terror tunnel demolished by IDF engineers

Additional footage depicts the demolition of the terror tunnel.

The clip shows a significant blast in an open field next to a road. The tunnel had remained undetected for the duration of the Israel-Hamas conflict until its recent elimination.

This destruction forms part of ongoing operations to remove terrorist infrastructure in line with the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives eliminated by IDF recently

The IDF has eliminated many kilometers of Hamas terror tunnels under the Gaza Strip in recent months amid continued operations.

Furthermore, on Sunday the IDF verified the deaths of three terrorists from different groups in the Gaza Strip over the prior week.

On Saturday, the military eliminated Alaa Imad Khamis Tarams, a Jaish al-Islam operative in Gaza City, and Hassan Ibrahim Shehadeh Qahman from Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

The IDF also reported killing Ahmad Khudar, a Hamas Jabalya Battalion commander, the week before.
