Two Hamas sources informed the Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the group's leaders plan to declare the end of the committee tasked with monitoring government operations, which has functioned as the de facto ruling authority in Gaza.

The sources explained that this step will enable the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza, also referred to as the Technocrats Committee and led by Ali Shaath, to arrive in the territory and receive governing responsibilities.

One insider indicated the dissolution notice could appear as soon as Monday, while a second source described the release as imminent without specifying an exact day.

Meanwhile, contacts within Hamas and other Palestinian groups noted that fresh negotiations are slated to begin in Cairo within two days to close differences on the second phase of the delicate truce in Gaza.

The report stated that Israel breached the phased deal reached last October, resulting in more than 1,000 Palestinian deaths and the removal of senior Hamas figures. Mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey continue efforts to reinforce the accord and move forward with subsequent phases to restore stability.

Cairo to Convene Hamas and Palestinian Groups Within 48 Hours

Additional details revealed that Cairo will welcome representatives from Palestinian factions, including Hamas, for talks in roughly two days.

The sources mentioned that Nikolay Mladenov, Gaza's representative on the Board of Peace, has reached Egypt to join discussions alongside American officials involved with the Board of Peace and international stabilization units.

His attendance remains unconfirmed by any representative, and associates previously noted that involvement hinges on advancement in talks regarding the agreement terms after responses from Hamas and the factions to the newest proposals.
