VIDEO: Palestinians hurl stones at People of Israel figure Hassan-Nahoum during West Bank visit

A rock was hurled through the window of Hassan-Nahoum's car as she addressed a camera, shattering the glass and injuring one of those traveling with her.

Fleur Hassan-Nahoum, ranked fifth on the People of Israel party list, faced an assault by Palestinians during a tour of the West Bank on Monday.

Video reviewed by The Jerusalem Post shows a stone crashing through her car window while she described being encircled and menaced by local Palestinians.

One individual sustained an injury in the incident.

"These are the so-called innocent 12- and 13-year-olds," Hassan-Nahoum stated while displaying the rock in a clip filmed right after the event. "This can kill. It is not mere stone throwing; it kills."

The Israel Police indicated later that day they are gathering evidence to identify those responsible.

"Thank God that she [Fleur] is with us," remarked People of Israel party leader Ofer Winter in a follow-up video. "Yet I must ask, how long should Israeli citizens endure living in fear? How much longer will we hear reports of stone attacks, assaults, shootings, and terrorism?"

"Rather than achieving decisive victory against the foe, we launch another limited operation, another detention, and issue another pledge? Three years after October 7, it is time to shift our approach," he added. "You fail to grasp this: the moment has come to overcome enemies, not fellow citizens."

Israel Ganz labels assault on Hassan-Nahoum 'genuine,' contrasts with Levine incident as 'staged'

Mateh Binyamin Regional Council Head Israel Ganz also addressed the event, calling the attackers "despicable terrorists."

"Just days after a staged event that drew worldwide notice, a genuine attack has taken place, yet it receives notable quiet."

Ganz described the episode as "real," drawing a comparison to the Friday assault on Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine by radical Israeli settlers, which he termed a "staged act."

"When the attacker is Jewish, the world reacts strongly. When the target is Jewish or backs Israel, the world falls silent," he noted. "Anyone who denounces violence solely when Israelis are involved but stays quiet when Arabs seek to kill shares blame in the effort against Israel."

"I urge security forces to capture these terrorists and ensure full accountability," he went on. "We cannot delay until deaths occur before acting."

West Bank strains increase during Palestinian olive harvest period

Strains have grown in the West Bank over recent weeks, with radical settler incidents rising amid the olive harvest season. Palestinian violence stands as a larger concern, marked by several lethal incidents in recent months.

Israeli security forces detained 10 individuals early Monday in relation to violent episodes over the weekend in the West Bank, including the Levine case.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received an update on security steps in the West Bank from the IDF and Shin Bet. He called the Tulkarm refugee camp a "terrorist base," pledging that the IDF will hold the zone and vowing to protect Israeli land "from the Jordan River to the sea."
