Lines of communication between Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei and senior officials have faced interruptions since Sunday evening, based on details shared with the London-based anti-regime outlet Iran International.

A source close to the recent escalation, which involved Iran firing missiles at Israel on Sunday night and Monday morning, noted that the actions probably followed established military procedures without input from Khamenei's office, Iran International reported.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps moved quickly in response to Israel's action in Dahiyeh in southern Beirut, a pace that appeared too swift for messages to pass between Khamenei and top IRGC or military leaders, the source explained.

Khamenei suffered serious injuries in Israeli strikes on Tehran on February 28 at the outset of Operation Roaring Lion.

He has stayed out of public view since then, even after taking over from his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as supreme leader in early March.

Still, officials presented at least three separate written statements credited to Khamenei during May and June.

On May 1, the apparent statement noted that the noble Iranian population would protect the regime's nuclear and missile technologies as national assets.

On May 26, his apparent statement warned of threats to US bases in the Middle East, stating that the nations and lands of the region will no longer serve as shields for American bases.

The same statement also targeted Israel, describing it as the shaky Zionist regime and cancerous tumor, while commending Hezbollah's resistance against the Zionist regime.

His June 4 attributed statement asserted that Israel and the US are trying to create division inside the country.

The Israeli regime and its supporters shifted strategy after a military setback and have focused on weakening public resilience and influencing the decisions of Iranian officials, his statement read.

The statement further cautioned that Israel's methods include spreading doubt, fear, despair, mistrust, and division within society.
