Although markets continue to climb, numerous equities still trade well below prior peaks. These discounted names represent current buying chances, unlike the AI leaders that surged 500% in the past year.

Consider Remitly Global and Adyen. These two fintech equities sit more than 50% below highs reached nearly five years ago, creating a difficult stretch for holders. Yet they may rank among the strongest prospects for growth-focused investors in today's market.

Here is why patient buyers could benefit from adding both Remitly and Adyen as long-term fintech holdings.

Remitly's expansion narrative

Remitly Global runs a digital remittance service that lets individuals and small firms transfer funds across borders with ease. It primarily substitutes for older transfer providers such as Western Union among users moving money from the United States to other countries.

The platform has captured meaningful share since its 2021 IPO through lower costs, a user-friendly mobile interface, and flexible collection choices for recipients. In the latest quarter, total volume sent rose 37% year over year to $16.2 billion, while revenue has climbed 572% since the IPO. Remitly now posts solid profits, with net income of $49.1 million last quarter and an 11% net margin.

Even with this progress and profit shift, Remitly trades 50% below its record highs near the IPO date.

Expansion via advanced payments platform

Adyen represents another share gainer in the payments space. It has developed a worldwide payments system that lets merchants and digital platforms handle transactions smoothly in both online and physical settings. Although the name may be unfamiliar, it supports payments for many large enterprises, including long-standing partners Uber Technologies and Spotify Technology.

Adyen earns a modest fee on every transaction regardless of payment type. Over the trailing 12 months it handled $1.69 trillion in global volume, up from $35 billion in 2015. Market share gains stem from superior technology that serves merchants needing a unified global payments solution.

Revenue has expanded at a 38% compound annual rate in U.S. dollars since 2015, while net revenue rose 20% year over year in constant currency last quarter. Meanwhile Adyen stock sits 72% below its 2021 peaks.

Adyen's cost control stands out, supporting strong unit economics visible in its margin metrics. EBITDA margin is projected to reach 55% by 2028 alongside continued revenue increases.

Why Remitly and Adyen represent attractive purchases

The most compelling feature of these two fintech names is their modest valuations, which result from combining steady revenue growth with lower share prices.

Remitly Global currently trades at a P/E ratio of 49. While this figure may appear elevated, the firm is only beginning to realize margin expansion at larger scale. Full-year revenue for 2026 is projected near $2 billion. An 11% margin on that amount yields $220 million in net income, implying a forward P/E of 23 against the present $5 billion market cap. Additional revenue growth and margin improvement remain possible in coming years.

Adyen's valuation is straightforward. It trades at a current P/E of 25 with a solid balance sheet, favorable growth outlook, and rising profit margins.

Collectively these former highfliers appear compelling for investors with a five- to 10-year horizon.
