(RTTNews) - Trend Micro Inc. (TMICY, 4704.T), a cybersecurity company, on Thursday reported higher net income in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the previous year.

Net income attributable to owners of the parent climbed to 11.78 billion yen, up from 8.86 billion yen a year earlier.

Basic earnings per share advanced to 90.14 yen, from 67.46 yen last year.

Operating income rose sharply to 15.56 billion yen, compared to 15.01 billion yen in the prior year.

Net sales grew to 73.86 billion yen, versus 67.50 billion yen in the previous year.

Turning to the full year 2026, Trend Micro anticipates net sales of 301.50 billion yen, a 9.2 percent year-on-year gain, with operating income forecasted at 56.40 billion yen, reflecting a 2.4 percent decline from last year.

For fiscal 2026, net income attributable to owners of the parent is projected at 36.60 billion yen, marking a 6.0 percent increase year over year, alongside basic earnings per share of 280.07 yen.

Shares of Trend Micro are down 2.43 percent at 5,471 yen on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
