American equity futures advanced after President Donald Trump revealed that a pact had been secured to halt hostilities with Iran.

Trump declared on Sunday, "Let the oil flow!" and hailed the "great deal" now finalized, which he said would usher in "peace and security to the whole region."

U.S. Vice President JD Vance noted that preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon was incorporated into the agreement, with the U.S. positioned to confirm adherence.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi verified that an accord was achieved and indicated the document would be published after a signing event in Switzerland on Friday.

Iran's Supreme National Security Council mentioned that "final negotiations will be postponed until after the implementation of the other party's commitments under the memorandum."

The exact details of the pact are not yet public, and several matters appear unresolved.

Experts caution that ongoing tensions between Israel and Lebanon might still disrupt the discussions.
