(RTTNews) - EQT Corp. (EQT), via its BPEA EQT Mid-Market Growth Partnership, has reached an agreement to buy Melbourne-based parking technology firm Orikan Group Pty Ltd. under undisclosed financial terms.

The transaction advances the firm's Asia mid-market approach by targeting high-growth enterprises throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

EQT aims to fuel Orikan's future expansion with funding directed toward product innovation, AI integration, data enhancements, service improvements, customer experience upgrades and global market growth.

The company noted that Orikan supplies integrated parking operations along with enforcement and infringement management tools powered by software, hardware, payments and data solutions.

Nearly 400 staff members support government and private clients including universities, airports, hospitals and stadiums in Australia, New Zealand and North America.

EQT shares ended 0.25 percent higher at $52.61 on the New York Stock Exchange, then advanced an additional 0.80 percent to $53.03 in overnight trading.
