(RTTNews) - Cognizant (CTSH), a leading IT services provider, announced on Tuesday a major expansion of its alliance with Google Cloud. This move aims to introduce Gemini Enterprise to its clients while enhancing the company's internal utilization of the technology.

This partnership extends an existing dedicated Gemini Enterprise practice. Together, the firms are combining their efforts to deliver integrated solutions, a collection of reusable agents, and a team of certified Cognizant Frontier Certified Engineers who operate directly in client settings to hasten value realization from Gemini implementations.

The Frontier Certified Engineer approach is central to this collaboration. These engineers combine advanced technical expertise with sector-specific and operational insights to review current processes, assess agents, and implement them in live environments. Cognizant is incorporating Google Cloud solutions within its operations by rolling out Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace worldwide.

The company aims to make Gemini Enterprise available to 100,000 employees this year, targeting growth to 200,000, while ensuring at least 10,000 Cognizant staff receive certification on the platform. "Early client projects have yielded positive outcomes. For instance, a major US communications and entertainment company upgraded its contact center functions using Cognizant and Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience. This resulted in a 17 percent improvement in first-contact resolution rates compared to earlier benchmarks and automated nearly one-third of appointment requests via AI. The AI agents powered by Gemini were implemented in three months, achieving over 500 optimizations to AI models in the initial year," according to a company statement.

Under the expanded partnership, Cognizant and Google Cloud will jointly promote several key offerings. Their shared market approach targets key industries such as retail and consumer goods, healthcare and life sciences, communications, media and technology, and financial services.

In pre-market trading, CTSH shares stood at $42.04, reflecting a 1.62 percent gain on the Nasdaq.
