(RTTNews) - Bridgestone Corp. (BRDCY, 5108.T), Japan's prominent tire and rubber producer, announced Thursday a notable increase in first-quarter 2026 net income over the prior year. Full-year 2026 guidance remains unchanged.

Profit attributable to owners of the parent rose to 91.93 billion yen, up from 75.69 billion yen a year ago.

Earnings per share, encompassing discontinued operations, reached 72.31 yen, compared to 55.53 yen last year.

Operating profit climbed to 125.80 billion yen from 88.77 billion yen in the previous year.

Adjusted operating profit advanced to 122.19 billion yen versus 111.41 billion yen a year earlier.

Revenue expanded to 1.11 trillion yen from 1.06 trillion yen last year.
