4basebio PLC (4BB.L), a biotechnology company, announced Thursday that Richard Bungay will become Chief Financial Officer, effective July 2026.

Bungay replaces David Roth, who resigned from the Board earlier this year but continued supporting the company during the transition period.

Roth's departure was disclosed on February 10, 2026, as he moved on to co-found a new venture with Heikki Lanckriet, 4basebio's founder and former CEO.

Bungay offers more than 30 years of high-level finance and strategic expertise in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

He arrives from Sitala Bio Limited, where he drove a strategic pivot, closed a substantial Series A financing, and secured an in-licensing pact with Fosun Pharma potentially worth $670 million.

4basebio also revealed Board adjustments effective May 31.

Non-executive Directors Alexander Link and Alan Malus are exiting due to conflicting professional demands. Heikki Lanckriet, the non-executive director and ex-CEO, will assume Link's role as 2invest AG's representative.

Cornel Chiriac, M&G's nominee, will succeed Malus, contingent on due diligence and regulatory nods.
