Under President Donald Trump's direction, Washington is reshaping U.S. oil and gas approaches through faster permit processes, removal of restrictions, renewed drilling efforts, reopened lands, and accelerated LNG facilities plus exports.

Not every business will gain equally, yet a handful of stocks align closely with the capital's energy priorities. Three stand out for consideration.

Leading in oil production upstream

Trump's renewed focus on boosting domestic output places ExxonMobil at the forefront of the fossil fuel emphasis. The firm appears more exposed than rivals to the capital's support for oil initiatives.

ExxonMobil ranks as the top U.S. oil and gas producer. It expanded Permian Basin output substantially following its 2024 acquisition of Pioneer Natural Resources. This added over 1.4 million net acres with roughly 16 billion barrels of oil equivalent in resources.

The company emphasizes strong-return projects and balance sheet strength. Projections through 2030 include 25 billion dollars in added earnings and 145 billion dollars in excess cash at 65 dollars per barrel Brent crude.

Such figures offer upside for investors even at partial achievement. Over the past five years, ExxonMobil has distributed nearly 150 billion dollars to owners while raising dividends for 43 straight years and buying back shares regularly.

Investing in ExxonMobil reflects confidence in lasting U.S. energy leadership and supportive policies from Washington.

The clear leader in LNG exports

Trump's early 2025 executive order on American energy ended prior pauses on LNG export permits. Energy Secretary Chris Wright highlighted a 12 percent capacity increase for Cheniere Energy's Corpus Christi site, noting it bolsters export ability and supports domestic prosperity.

Cheniere offers a direct play on these shifts. As the largest U.S. LNG exporter with major sites at Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi, it stands ready to capitalize on the pro-export direction.

Expansion plans include nearly 15 million tons per annum added at Corpus Christi and another 20 million tons per annum at Sabine Pass, layering growth onto existing operations.

These moves prompted Cheniere to lift its 2026 forecast to between 4.75 billion and 5.25 billion dollars in distributable cash flow, supporting ongoing buybacks and dividend increases. With LNG central to the new energy framework, Cheniere leads the way.

The gas powerhouse with a strong order pipeline

Updated EPA Clean Air Act rules have eased emissions requirements for power plants, including nitrogen oxide limits on new gas turbines. This allows utilities to expand gas-fired generation to meet AI data center needs without closure risks.

GE Vernova benefits as the top maker of natural gas turbines. Its HA-class units form the fastest-expanding fleet globally, with 128 turbines active across 21 nations.

Recent results show rapid progress: gas turbine reservations reached 100 gigawatts in the first quarter, up from 83 gigawatts previously. The firm anticipates crossing 110 gigawatts by late 2026, with total backlog at 163 billion dollars and orders rising 71 percent year over year.

Production slots are already filled into 2030, granting strong pricing leverage and clear revenue outlook amid the policy environment.
