Fifth annual UWorld Cares initiative welcomes five new organizations serving Dallas-Fort Worth-area middle and high school students

/PRNewswire/ - Fourteen North Texas nonprofits will obtain a total of $250000 from UWorld a worldwide leader in academic and professional education through the fifth yearly UWorld Cares Community Grants program.

Since its start in 2022 UWorld Cares the philanthropic division of the company has directed $1 million in community grants throughout North Texas. The effort backs groups that assist middle and high school students in achieving academic goals pursuing higher education and securing meaningful careers across the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

This years grants aid four fresh community partners along with 10 continuing collaborations. The supported programs are projected to serve close to 15000 North Texas students via broadened in-school and after-school offerings focused on education STEM learning and financial literacy. Participants gain free entry to all UWorld College Prep high-quality SAT ACT and Advanced Placement materials. These include courses featuring exam-style questions thorough answer explanations engaging illustrations clear videos and complete study guides that simplify preparation and reduce stress.

Over 60 organizations from Collin Dallas Denton and Tarrant counties submitted applications through a competitive evaluation. Selections were made according to organizational reach program results and fit with UWorld Cares goals.

New grant recipients include:

Big Thought for its Unified Delivery Portfolio which promotes STEAM learning for youth via coordinated out-of-school time labs projects and micro-credentialing
Bold Idea to grow programming for middle and high school students in the Dallas Independent School District by launching Coding Clubs at two additional school sites
C5 Youth Foundation of Texas for its Pathways to Postsecondary Success program which bolsters the college and career elements of its leadership initiative
Design Connect Create to supply materials for girls developing artificial intelligence coding and engineering abilities during DCC camps

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas for its Academic Success program which removes obstacles for youth and equips kids with resources to face challenges and excel in school
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County to back hands-on STEM activities educational tools and enrichment experiences aimed at improving student learning and academic results
Communities in Schools of Greater Tarrant County for case management aid for its at-risk students in Greater Tarrant County
The GEMS Camp for 2026-27 school year activities at the STEM Lab at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in South Dallas
Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas to advance Project Accelerate expanding high school pathways Eureka! and Operation EmpowHer
Jubilee Park & Community Center to fund Teen Club enabling sixth through 12th graders to learn grow and succeed through academics enrichment leadership and college/career readiness
Junior Achievement of Dallas to assist middle and high school students with financial literacy education that builds career readiness economic mobility and lasting financial decision-making abilities
Perot Museum of Nature and Science to maintain the ConnecTEEN program and introduce its Education Track engaging high school students in practical curriculum work and education career exploration
Wesley-Rankin Community Center to offer middle and high school students in West Dallas financial literacy academic help and career readiness programming
YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas to support the Y Achievers program that encourages academic progress explores career options and builds character through mentorship
