/PRNewswire/ - Leading US business figures from Silicon Valley and Wall Street, who joined President Donald Trump on his trip to China, highlighted the crucial position of the Chinese market. A major leaders' forum in Beijing on Thursday emphasized efforts to strengthen economic relations between the two nations.

Alongside his discussions with President Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping held a session on Thursday with American business executives traveling with him, according to Xinhua News Agency.

Xi pointed out that US firms have played a significant part in China's reform and opening-up process, yielding benefits for both parties. He stressed that China will continue to widen its doors, inviting the US to pursue more win-win partnerships, and voiced confidence that American companies will find even greater opportunities in China, Xinhua reported.

Trump noted that he had assembled top representatives from the US business world, all of whom hold China in high regard, and urged them to broaden their collaborations there, per the report.

The US business leaders expressed their high regard for the Chinese market and their desire to expand operations and partnerships in China, as reported by Xinhua.

Xinhua indicated that top officials from over 10 prominent US firms were part of the group, including Apple CEO Tim Cook, Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

This group visit by industry titans signals robust anticipation in the US business sector for enhanced practical cooperation between China and the US, promoting shared gains and mutual success, according to analysts.

Throughout the trip, several key American executives from the delegation voiced positive views on China-US collaboration, while stressing the Chinese market's significance to their operations.

Apple CEO Tim Cook remarked that it was "so great to be back in China," while Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang called the visit "incredible" and commended the gracious welcome, per CCTV News.

Huang further told Xinhua News Agency that a top priority for China is advancing AI integration across industries like healthcare, life sciences, and manufacturing, which is already creating fresh prospects.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk shared with Xinhua, "I have a good feeling about these talks, and I think there will be good results."

Additionally, Musk appeared at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Thursday with his son, whose traditional Chinese-style vest attracted considerable attention from media and social media.

Qualcomm President and CEO Cristiano Amon told Xinhua that it represents a prime chance for all involved. "I'm very excited to be here and we had great meetings. China boasts a dynamic economy that will keep influencing supply chains, and we foresee strong potential in merging US innovation with China's vast scale," Amon stated.

These CEOs embody America's tech powerhouse. Their comments reveal vast potential for China-US teamwork in high-tech areas and the pivotal value of the Chinese market to them, said Hu Qimu, a professor at Huaqiao University's Maritime Silk Road Institute, in a Thursday interview with the Global Times.

On Thursday morning, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), held talks with Brendan Nelson, Boeing's senior vice president and president of Boeing Global. A Global Times reporter present saw them exchange gifts: Nelson offered a Boeing 777 model, and Ren presented a mascot from the China International Supply Chain Expo.

Nelson expressed Boeing's strong faith in ongoing cooperation and dedication to expanding ties in China.

A recent American Chamber of Commerce in China report shows that despite worldwide economic challenges and rising geopolitical tensions, US firms in China display impressive adaptability and optimism. Half of respondents list China in their top three global investment spots, and 79 percent view China-US relations in 2026 positively or neutrally, a 30-point rise from the prior year.

Jeffrey Lehman, chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, echoed the survey's upbeat results, saying, "I expect similar outcomes from the survey our chamber will release in September."

Lehman explained that their strategies are worldwide, with China as a vital element. "Our members and stakeholders thrive by maintaining a solid competitive foothold in China," he added.

Boosting Stability

Observers from diverse fields followed the China-US leaders' meeting closely, anticipating that top-level diplomacy will guide bilateral relations forward steadily, adding stability and predictability to a volatile global landscape, Xinhua noted.

John Quelch, executive vice chancellor and distinguished Social Science professor at Duke Kunshan University, told the Global Times on Thursday that such high-level interactions lessen misconceptions, foster trust, and open avenues for practical collaboration despite ongoing differences in trade, tech, or security.

Quelch emphasized that global prosperity grows when the two biggest economies ensure consistency, open dialogue, and joint efforts where interests converge.

Quelch also observed that today's international scene is highly intricate. "Geopolitical strains, economic divides, conflicts, and tech shifts have amplified uncertainty. Major powers must now support not just their growth but also worldwide steadiness," he said.

Carl Fey, Strategy professor at BI Norwegian Business School, agreed, telling the Global Times, "Stable US-China relations would immensely benefit both nations and the world. As the top two economies, their steady partnership would fuel global expansion."
