The Salvation Army Cheboygan County to manage aid distribution as matching funds double contributions for flood-affected families

/PRNewswire/ - The Pulte Family Charitable Foundation has awarded a $150,000 grant to assist with flood recovery in Cheboygan, Emmet, and Presque Isle Counties. This support comes as residents recover from the historic flooding that struck in spring 2026.

From the grant total, $50,000 will be provided right away to cover pressing requirements like temporary shelter, emergency aid, and essential recovery services. The other $100,000 serves as a dollar-for-dollar match for contributions to The Salvation Army Cheboygan County's Flood Relief Fund for Our Northern Michigan Neighbors. Contributions to this specific fund alone qualify, effectively doubling support from donors including individuals, families, and groups during this key recovery phase.

The Salvation Army Cheboygan County will handle fund administration and distribution, collaborating closely with affected local households to evaluate needs and provide help. Leveraging skilled caseworkers and proven processes, the group ensures swift aid delivery alongside thorough documentation and oversight.

These resources will fuel continued recovery work for individuals dealing with property loss, relocation, and rebuilding hurdles.
