Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan serving more than 1.4 million members across Michigan and beyond, will make GRAIL's Galleri multi-cancer early detection test available to its self-insured employer groups. The organization already included Galleri coverage in its Thrive and Thrive Plus Medicare Advantage plans starting in 2025 and is now extending the partnership to become the first Michigan health plan allowing employer groups to add the Galleri test to existing cancer screening benefits.

Priority Health offers fully funded, self-funded, level-funded and third-party administrator models, giving employers flexibility to build customized programs that combine its broad provider network, care management, pharmacy benefits and stop-loss options.

While single-cancer screenings help detect five cancers, 70 percent of cancer deaths result from types without recommended screening tests. Galleri uses a simple blood draw to screen for many of the deadliest cancers before symptoms develop, when treatment is often simpler and potentially curative. When a signal is detected, the test identifies the cancer signal origin with high accuracy to guide follow-up testing. It is backed by strong studies in intended-use populations and remains the only MCED test with proven performance in screening settings.

About Galleri
The Galleri multi-cancer early detection test screens for more than 50 cancer types, including many without current screening options such as pancreatic, ovarian and liver or bile duct cancers. It is the only MCED test shown in a randomized controlled trial to increase earlier-stage detection and reduce Stage IV diagnoses, giving more patients access to potentially curative treatments. When added to standard screening, it lowered Stage IV diagnoses by more than 20 percent after the first year across stageable cancers and increased overall cancer detection fourfold compared with standard screening alone.
