Angelalign has already replaced Torque Ridges elements in Europe with improved Pressure Points

/PRNewswire/ -- Angelalign Technology Inc. (6699.HK) (Angel) which focuses on innovations in invisible orthodontic appliance technology today stated that the decision by the Paris local division of the Unified Patent Court regarding its Torque Ridges technology features does not affect the availability of its offering in Europe which already includes a new generation of torque control technology.

Angel has already ceased using Torque Ridges elements in Europe and replaced them with improved pressure point technology. The pressure points introduced to the European market in September were designed to enhance torque control and reflect Angels ongoing commitment to innovations aimed at addressing clinical challenges for orthodontists. This decision does not affect Angel customers in Spain the United Kingdom and outside Europe including the Americas and Asia. Angel continues to develop new solutions to maintain high quality service for its customers.

The court today ruled that the Torque Ridges technology features infringe Align Technology Inc. (ALGN) patent on changing a patients tooth position according to an orthodontic treatment plan. Angel respectfully disagrees with this decision is thoroughly analyzing it and is considering further steps. Angel will comply with the court decision including returning any products. Since Torque Ridges technology is no longer offered in Europe orthodontists using Angel products and services can continue treating their patients with access to pressure points and continuous clinical and technical support from Angel.

Our priority is to ensure that orthodontists can continue providing excellent care to their patients said Xavier Cherbavaz General Manager and Vice President for Europe Africa and the Middle East at Angelalign Technology Inc. Torque Ridges technology has already been phased out in Europe and replaced with pressure points an approach designed to support controlled force application and tooth contact. We remain focused on delivering innovative clinical solutions for orthodontists and reliable customer experiences.

Angel takes intellectual property rights seriously and ensures it does not infringe valid patents added Richard Hirschland Chief Commercial Officer and Senior Vice President at Angel. We are thoroughly analyzing the courts reasoning and will consider all available options. Angel will continue to innovate and improve its products for the benefit of its providers and their patients despite the litigation with a competitor. Continuous innovation means anticipating challenges and preparing solutions to protect the customer experience. Our transition to pressure points reflects this commitment. We are dedicated to developing innovative solutions so that orthodontists can rely on Angel long term.
