** Organizations Team Up for Sixth Year to Aid Local Students **

/PRNewswire/ - North Island Credit Union has teamed with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego for the sixth year to assist local students in starting the school year equipped and eager to learn. Through this effort the credit union supplied more than 170 backpacks loaded with school essentials for Club members across San Diego County as part of its yearly Back 2 School Drive.

"Every student should begin the school year feeling ready confident and supported" said North Island Credit Union President and CEO Steve O'Connell. "This yearly drive offers a valuable opportunity for our members and staff to aid local families and provide students with the resources they need to excel. Backpacks were contributed by the credit union its staff and members during a branch collection while school supplies were furnished by the credit union. The backpacks will reach elementary through high school students in Club programs across San Diego County ahead of the fall term.
