/PRNewswire/ -- NFG SA (NFG), the main company of the NFG Group, today announced the official launch of the NFG Step Forward Foundation (Step Forward), a newly created independent charitable foundation intended to expand and organize the Group's long-standing philanthropic work.

Since beginning operations in 2017, the NFG Group has backed a wide array of charitable projects, such as financing education for disadvantaged young people, sponsoring local community efforts, and offering direct help to individuals and families facing hardship. The formation of Step Forward signals an important step forward in this dedication, bringing philanthropic activities together under an independently managed framework to improve openness, responsibility, and sustained results.

Step Forward will function as an independent platform that accepts contributions from NFG's related companies, clients, and outside donors. It will also act as a main contact point for charities, community groups, and individuals looking for assistance.

The foundation's main emphasis will center on supporting underserved youth by providing access to education, sports programs, healthcare, and basic wellbeing resources, while staying flexible enough to back a broad range of charitable causes around the world.

To aid its launch and guarantee prompt operational readiness, NFG SA has pledged an initial donation of USD 1 million to the foundation.

The foundation will be guided by an independent Board of Trustees, with Dr. Kathryn Devos and Cecilia Rague-Kaisha acting as Ambassadors. They will receive support from Shaunte Stapleton (Corporate Manager) and Troylin Evelyn (Secretary). Additional trustees will be named as the foundation develops.

The launch of Step Forward continues NFG's active charitable collaborations. In a recent effort, NFG SA backed the Lenivan Foundation's yearly drive to supply school shoes to children in Kenya, helping distribute more than 300 pairs and aiding wider educational and community projects throughout Africa.
