InDepthNH.org Open Positions

The New Hampshire Center for Public Interest Journalism, publisher of InDepthNH.org, is seeking candidates for the following positions:

Deputy Managing Editor
Guide daily coverage and bolster statewide investigative reporting. Duties include editing stories, planning coverage, mentoring staff, upholding standards, assisting with newsletters and publishing, and engaging with the community. Strong leadership and editing experience are essential along with solid news judgment, AP style knowledge, digital skills, and dedication to nonprofit journalism. Remote role with New Hampshire base preferred.

Development Director
Direct fundraising efforts to grow support and create lasting revenue streams. Tasks include overseeing annual giving, major gifts, grants, and events; building donor ties; preparing proposals; aiding board involvement; and expanding membership drives. Nonprofit fundraising success, strong communication skills, and commitment to local journalism are required. Remote role with New Hampshire base preferred.

Freelance Reporter (Experienced)
Experienced freelancers are needed to deliver strong coverage of state and local government, politics, and community issues. Duties include pitching stories, conducting interviews and records research, and delivering clean, timely copy. Proven reporting background, especially on government or investigative topics, plus strong research and writing abilities are necessary. Remote freelance or contract work with New Hampshire ties or knowledge preferred.
