Honda charitable contributions exceed $15 million in the yearly funding period
Support reaches 271 initiatives across five core CSR areas: Education, Environment, Mobility, Traffic Safety and Community

, /PRNewswire/ -- From readying learners for roles in advanced manufacturing to combating food shortages, Honda and the Honda USA Foundation assist efforts that uplift neighborhoods surrounding Honda facilities in the United States. During this funding period, Honda and the Honda USA Foundation allocated over $15.2 million to 271 nonprofit and school-based initiatives, projected to benefit more than 45 million individuals.

Honda corporate social responsibility (CSR) donations target initiatives matching five key pillars: Education, Environment, Mobility, Traffic Safety and Community. The examples below illustrate the impact of this year's contributions in regions across the U.S.

Education
To address future obstacles, Honda backs education efforts that encourage creativity and new ideas in fields tied to industry needs.

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) Aerospace Manufacturing Engineer Program in North Carolina Piedmont Triad area trains learners for positions in advanced aerospace production and design. Honda support covers equipment acquisitions and additional instructors to launch the initial group of high school participants.
Rosie Explores Manufacturing operates as a national STEM initiative. Honda resources promote development of the manufacturing workforce by offering elementary and middle school students practical activities to prepare for AI-influenced manufacturing settings ahead.

Environment
Honda aids projects that cut and avoid carbon output, produce renewable power and protect essential supplies like water and electricity to enhance living standards in communities everywhere.

The Circle East District project renews a challenged historic area in East Cleveland via eco-friendly commercial and residential rebuilding, home fixes, infrastructure upgrades and street improvements. Honda assistance enables rooftop solar installations on five owner-occupied homes to promote fair energy expenses for residents old and new.
The Kingman Rangers job training effort in Washington, D.C., readies unemployed adults for starting positions in green industries while enhancing Kingman and Heritage Islands, which feature unique habitats such as tidal wetlands and swamp forests. Honda funding sustains preservation work and informs locals on environmental responsibility.

Traffic Safety
Extending its "Safety for Everyone" strategy, Honda funds programs that encourage safe practices for driving, biking and walking through awareness and instruction.

The In One Instant Program provides teens essential abilities to remain secure as drivers, riders, cyclists, skaters and walkers. Honda backing finances videos, study materials and interactive exercises that teach young drivers about risks from distracted, dangerous and impaired operation.
The ThinkFirst for Safer Roads for Parents of Teen Drivers targets a primary source of serious injury and fatality among youth: vehicle collisions. Honda resources aid creation and growth of proven programs to limit avoidable harm and protect lives via education and lasting habit shifts.

Mobility
The Honda USA Foundation backs efforts that eliminate obstacles to movement and broaden access for people with disabilities. Resources assist with vehicle adaptations, therapy and adaptive support, plus full care services.

EmpowHer Camp in New York offers girls with disabilities ages 13-18 chances for adventure, self-reliance and development in an accessible outdoor setting. The Honda USA Foundation award funds adaptive nature activities that build assurance and autonomy, along with lessons on life and leadership abilities such as speaking publicly, self-advocacy and collaboration.
Guide Dogs for the Blind Orientation and Mobility Immersion (OMI) Program delivers instruction in orientation, mobility and everyday skills to individuals who are blind or have low vision to enhance their movement and self-sufficiency. Support covers sessions led by specialists to equip those with minimal sight the abilities required for independent, satisfying lives.

Community
Honda supports local partners offering broad food security and social services to meet urgent demands in areas where Honda team members reside and operate.

Via its alliance with Feeding America, Honda assists regional food banks working to resolve food shortages and simplify access to nutritious options.
Honda collaborates with area United Ways to promote health, improve economic security and meet community needs.
