Peer-reviewed recognition affirms nursing education quality for students and healthcare employers across Middle Tennessee

Herzing University has obtained initial accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) for the Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) and Diploma in Practical Nursing (PN) programs offered at its Nashville and Clarksville locations.

The accreditation verifies that these programs fulfill ACEN criteria for administrative capacity and resources, curriculum standards, faculty qualifications and student performance outcomes. ACEN applies this consistent peer-review approach to assess more than 1,400 nursing programs throughout the nation.

The achievement arrives as healthcare providers in Nashville and Clarksville experience ongoing needs for skilled nursing personnel. Herzing's ACEN-accredited programs supply regional employers with a reliable flow of newly trained nurses prepared in the local area.

ASN graduates from the Nashville and Clarksville campuses can enter registered nurse roles in as few as 24 months or pursue further education through RN-to-BSN pathways. The PN program emphasizes hands-on practice and finishes in as little as 12 months, enabling swift entry into Middle Tennessee's nursing workforce.
