/PRNewswire/ -- The global launch of the Arabic edition of Volume I of "China's Governance Under Xi Jinping's Leadership" took place in Cairo on Wednesday.

Xinhua News Agency President Fu Hua, former Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang, and Director-General of the Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Muhammad bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami jointly unveiled the publication.

The ceremony was a highlight of the two-day Global South Media and Think Tank Forum Chinese-Arab Partnership Conference, which kicked off Tuesday and brought together roughly 250 representatives from about 110 media organizations, think tanks, government agencies, and businesses from China, Arab nations, and various international and regional bodies.

Speaking at the event, Fu Hua highlighted how Xinhua has extensively documented the innovative practices and significant accomplishments of Xi Jinping's leadership in governing China since the dawn of the new era.

Drawing on this reporting, Xinhua produced "China's Governance Under Xi Jinping's Leadership" to present China's governance strategies and underlying philosophy to international audiences, Fu explained. The Arabic version, he added, creates a key gateway for Arab nations to closely follow and appreciate China.

Fu voiced Xinhua's commitment to expanding collaboration with Arab media and think tanks on analyzing, explaining, and promoting critical governance topics, aiming to exchange development insights, and to fuel unity, partnership, and progress in the Global South.

Attendees praised the Arabic edition as a vital guide for Arab audiences seeking deeper insights into Xi's governance ideas and China's progress in the new era.

They noted it will boost trust and comprehension between China and Arab states, encourage sharing of governance lessons, forge wider agreement, and energize efforts toward a more robust China-Arab community with shared destiny.

Xinhua also introduced a think tank report called "Achievements, Opportunities, and Prospects of China-Arab Cooperation in the New Era" alongside a book titled "Decoding the Buzzwords of the Global South."
