June 21-27 CA4US, supported by key partners, urges Californians to dine, purchase and advocate for businesses owned by immigrants throughout the state

/PRNewswire/ -- CA4US, California's largest statewide coalition of business, labor, philanthropy, and civic leaders, has unveiled Immigrant Small Business Week, June 21-27, to honor the immigrant-owned enterprises that shape California's communities, provide jobs to residents, and fuel its economy.

CA4US calls on residents to dedicate the week to backing immigrant-owned businesses in their local areas, highlighting how daily economic choices strengthen the shared stability of neighborhoods across the state.

Supported by the California Community Foundation (CCF), CA4US plans a press conference on Tuesday, June 23 that unites business owners from various sectors for a collective closing message and release of aggregated data on the broad economic contributions of immigrant entrepreneurship in California. A directory featuring select local immigrant-owned businesses can be found on the CA4US website.

Immigrant Small Business Week follows a period marked by intensified immigration enforcement that affected communities and economies statewide, resulting in an estimated $1 billion loss in productivity, wages, and sales for Los Angeles along with roughly 743,000 workers impacted across California. Such enforcement creates ripple effects as businesses lose staff and patrons, while schools, neighborhoods, and regional economies face added pressures. The week serves as a tribute to the enduring contributions these communities make through restaurants, retail outlets, and service providers that maintain neighborhood vitality and strength.

Immigrant Small Business Week forms part of wider CCF initiatives promoting inclusion, opportunity, and sustained community strength. These encompass the recent People's Hearing on Immigration Enforcement in Los Angeles, sessions at the Hispanics in Philanthropy Conference, the Neighbors Support Fund aiding families affected by immigration enforcement, and efforts to safeguard immigrant families' access to health care, nutrition assistance, and other essentials in the California budget.
