16th Annual Gardens for Good Program invites proposals from efforts that enhance food availability, learning opportunities, and local bonds

/PRNewswire/ - Nature's Path Organic Foods, North America's largest independent organic breakfast and snack food brand, is now accepting applications for its annual Gardens for Good grant program. Marking its 16th year, the effort backs organic community gardens and urban farming projects that broaden access to fresh, healthy organic food and reinforce communities throughout the U.S. and Canada.

This year, Nature's Path will distribute fifteen $3,000 grants, amounting to $45,000 in total funding, to organic community gardens and urban agriculture projects that deliver real local benefits. Ten grants will aid groups in the United States, while five will go to Canada. Applications open from June 9 through July 7, 2026.

Since its start in 2010, Gardens for Good has provided over $1 million in grants to nearly 150 organic community gardens across North America, exceeding its initial giving target three years early. The program shows Nature's Path's steady dedication to organic food, care for the environment, and better fair access to nutritious food, while also helping communities grow local skills and promote food sovereignty in their own ways.

Nature's Path welcomes proposals from gardens that serve underrepresented and underserved communities, including those centered on food insecurity, education, youth involvement, and culturally inclusive growing methods. Eligible applicants must be registered nonprofit organizations based in the U.S. or Canada.

Organic farming grows food in balance with nature by focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable methods while steering clear of toxic pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, and genetically modified organisms. Through support for healthier ecosystems, organic agriculture safeguards pollinators, boosts soil fertility, and aids long-term food security, forming a key base for stronger and fairer food systems.
