Boston Consulting Group Announces Its Largest Commitment to AI-Driven Social Impact
Initial Collaboration with Anthropic to Advance 2026 Results for High-Impact Groups

PRNewswire/ -- Artificial intelligence presents major opportunities to confront pressing worldwide social challenges. Yet organizations ideally suited to act on this potential often face significant resource constraints. To address this disparity, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) announced today a commitment of $500 million by 2030 toward AI for social impact, with emphasis on entities ready to drive transformative outcomes and broad system-level shifts.

The pledge extends BCG's established record of social impact investment, including 3.5 million hours dedicated to such work and more than $1.5 billion allocated to social impact projects since 2020. Since 2024, BCG has completed over 200 technology and AI initiatives for social impact organizations.

A Collaboration Designed for Results

This AI commitment will enable BCG to assist leading philanthropies and nonprofits in unlocking and expanding development outcomes across areas such as education, workforce development, health care, and poverty reduction.

As a first action, BCG is teaming with Anthropic's Beneficial Deployments group to combine frontier models from Anthropic with BCG's capabilities, delivering breakthrough results for as many as 20 prominent social impact organizations this year.
