/PRNewswire/ - The Board of Directors of the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI), the trucking industry's not-for-profit research organization, has chosen nationally recognized transportation and logistics executive Page Siplon to serve as its next president and chief operating officer. Siplon will join ATRI in November and will work with current ATRI President Rebecca Brewster to ensure a smooth leadership transition before succeeding her upon her retirement in February 2027.

Siplon offers more than twenty years of leadership experience across private industry, economic development, public policy, and military service. Most recently he served as Chief Executive Officer of TeamOne Logistics, where he guided the organization for over a decade and expanded its capabilities. His leadership emphasized the trucking workforce, driver recruitment and retention, safety, and the operational issues confronting motor carriers.

Before joining TeamOne, Siplon spent more than a decade directing logistics and innovation efforts for the State of Georgia. As Executive Director of the Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics, he collaborated with industry and government leaders to advance freight transportation projects and enhance Georgia's logistics competitiveness. Siplon also created and led the nationally recognized Georgia Logistics Summit, which became one of the country's largest logistics conferences. He later took charge of Georgia's broader Centers of Innovation program, overseeing six strategic industry sectors across the state. His industry leadership reached the national level as Vice Chairman of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness, where he helped shape national discussions on transportation, logistics, and supply chain policy.

"Page offers a distinctive mix of executive leadership, a proven ability to form public-private partnerships, and a thorough knowledge of the transportation sector," said Brenda Neville, Iowa Motor Truck Association President and CEO, and ATRI Search Committee Chair. "We are pleased to welcome Page to ATRI and are confident that his experience, collaborative style, and leadership will allow the organization to build on its solid base and keep providing real value to the trucking industry."

ATRI President Rebecca Brewster added, "I have known Page since his time with the Georgia Center of Innovation for Logistics, and I am pleased to have him join the ATRI team and work with me and our staff on the leadership transition. Page's leadership will be key to advancing ATRI's research mission at a moment when trucking confronts increasingly complex choices. In the years ahead, reliable independent research will be vital to helping our industry manage change, enhance safety, and make sound decisions."

"I am truly excited and honored by the chance to lead ATRI and build on the outstanding work Rebecca and her team have accomplished over the years," said Siplon. "I have always viewed trucking as the common thread of our economy. Our nation simply cannot operate without it. ATRI has earned a level of respect and trust throughout our industry that is truly special, and looking ahead I see great opportunity to strengthen that base, expand our reach, and discover new ways to apply our research for the trucking industry and the economy that depends on it."

Siplon's selection follows a nationwide search to succeed Brewster, who announced her retirement earlier this year after more than three decades with ATRI.

ATRI is the trucking industry's 501(c)(3) not-for-profit research organization. It conducts critical research on freight transportation's essential role in maintaining a safe, secure and efficient transportation system.
