/PRNewswire/ -- From the main stage at the organization's 2026 Scientific Sessions, the American Diabetes Association® (ADA) revealed the recipients of the 2026 Innovation Challenge competition. The yearly event identifies transformative concepts from emerging firms with the capacity to reshape diabetes management.

"Innovation in diabetes care is generating significant momentum at present. We are committed to advancing new developments and funding opportunities that move us closer to the ADA's goal of eliminating diabetes and its impacts. Five forward-thinking finalists showcased their concepts to a group of specialists and an in-person crowd. Three top recipients were chosen based on their ability to transform diabetes treatment: Adaptyx Biosciences, Nymble Health, and Silverstream Medical.

The winners and finalists for this year were:

Winner: Adaptyx Biosciences
Adaptyx Biosciences creates wearable sensors that supply ongoing biochemical information, going further than standard glucose tracking to include hormones, small molecules, electrolytes, and proteins.

Winner: Nymble Health
Nymble Health offers an AI-driven platform for managing ongoing health conditions, developed by specialists to provide tailored, research-supported behavioral guidance between medical appointments via straightforward messaging, lowering barriers, improving compliance, and enabling individuals to manage their wellness path.

Winner: Silverstream Medical
Silverstream Medical connects hospital care with home recovery through a single approach focused on preserving limbs.

Finalist: Alnu Health
Alnu Health operates a support system that maintains assistance for chronic condition patients outside of scheduled visits.

Finalist: Flow Health Science
Flow Health Science's Klario® product is a researched multi-energy beverage that delivers rapid assistance during low blood sugar episodes and supports quicker return to daily activities.

Beyond the national spotlight, winners may qualify for possible funding of as much as $50,000 via the ADA's Innovation Fund and gain entry to an accelerator initiative aimed at fostering ongoing development.

The submission window for the following year's Innovation Challenge begins in January 2027.
