While Israel's technology sector works toward greater stability, the local cybersecurity scene keeps gaining momentum as Oligo Security announces completion of a $60 million funding round.

Since its founding in 2022, the company has raised roughly $140 million overall. Ballistic Ventures, Greenfield Partners, Red Dot Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and TLV Partners led the latest round, joined by Yasmin Lukatz and Eyal Waldman.

Childhood friends and veterans of elite IDF cyber units, CEO Nadav Czerninski, CTO Gal Elbaz, and CPO Avshalom Hilu established the firm. Oligo now employs around 100 staff, with 70 at its Israeli development center and the rest split between offices in New York and San Francisco.

Funding Supports Global Expansion Plans

The capital injection follows more than 300 percent year-over-year growth in annual recurring revenue, a doubled valuation since the prior Series B, and broader operational reach. Proceeds will drive product advancements and deeper entry into overseas markets.

Oligo delivers runtime security across applications, cloud platforms, and artificial intelligence environments. Its solution observes live code execution to determine which vulnerabilities can actually be exploited, spots malicious activity instantly, and stops attacks without interrupting production systems.

Discovery of Major Security Issues

In late May 2024, company researchers identified one of the earliest cyberattacks aimed at AI infrastructure, finding thousands of servers used for training and operating AI models compromised through a flaw missed by existing security tools.

Approximately two months later, they disclosed a vulnerability affecting leading browsers including Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. The issue let malicious websites bypass protections and reach local services or home networks that should remain inaccessible from outside the device. Browser vendors responded by strengthening their safeguards.

CEO Nadav Czerninski stated that organizations now confront AI-powered attackers who locate and exploit weaknesses at high speed, making the runtime layer the sole environment where threats can be observed and halted in real time.

Ballistic Ventures partner Jake Seid noted that runtime represents where business activity occurs, revenue is produced, and customer interactions take place, adding that Oligo protects these environments without forcing a trade-off between security and operational continuity.

The announcement arrives one day after Visa agreed to acquire Israeli firm BioCatch for $2.4 billion in cash, contributing to roughly $2.6 billion raised by Israeli startups in the sector since the start of the year.
