In a recent People interview at a Malibu event on May 1, he highlighted their commitment to regular dates and getaways.

'We try to carve out certain days,' Lopez noted in the piece published Sunday. 'This little event is a little getaway weekend within town, which is great, so we get to be back on Sunday. Those are important. We never stopped dating - that's important.'

The pair, wed in 2012, are parents to three children.

'It's funny because we like to go to Vegas a lot,' Lopez continued. 'We go for the fights, we'll go for shows and stuff, do the wine trips. This is great. Catch up on sleep.'

Their mutual enjoyment forms the heart of their lasting partnership.

'It just gets better and better, and I'm not trying to be corny, but it does. We just love each other. We have fun. We laugh,' Courtney Lopez remarked.
