Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro thanked staff after a solid quarter and laid out his ideas for Disney+ along with artificial intelligence use.

"Our results highlight the power of our operations, the lasting appeal of our tales and brands, and above all the remarkable efforts of the team each day," D'Amaro stated in a note seen by Business Insider.

D'Amaro presented his plan for Disney+ to employees, centered on creating a "super app" that he aims to expand with games and goods over time.

"In addition to our movies and shows, Disney+ will keep growing by combining games, goods, and further features while providing more tailored options, unique access, and perks for members," D'Amaro noted in the message.

A more advanced Disney+ would "boost involvement, raise the worth offered, cut cancellations, and - most importantly - lift long-term fan worth," D'Amaro added. These updates are set to begin next spring, he indicated.

D'Amaro also covered his approach to AI, noting Disney is "using AI to deliver the latest tools to our creators."

The CEO stressed that "AI is not only about speed - it is about boosting a creative flow that stays centered on people, led by artists, and driven by creators."

Disney is also investing in creators via a fresh TikTok pact that will add selected user-made content to Disney+.

The company pleased investors with a 7 percent rise in revenue and a 28 percent gain in adjusted diluted earnings per share for its June quarter. Streaming operating profit more than doubled to $712 million, while Experiences operating profit climbed 20 percent.

Shares gained over 2 percent early on, though the stock remains down more than 14 percent over the past year.

Today we shared our Q3 results, and I want to highlight a few points made possible by your work. Our results highlight the power of our operations, the lasting appeal of our tales and brands, and above all the remarkable efforts of the team each day.
In my first five months as CEO, I have focused on making sure we act as one firm around a shared plan. What we see this quarter proves that aligning our franchises, sharing data and tech, and building smooth fan journeys works. Disney's core edge is the depth of our fan ties, and that leads right to growth in our business.
We are in a setting where viewers have more choices than ever for their time, yet our results show they keep picking to spend time with Disney. This win shows our steady work on three key goals: first, putting money into creative strength and top IP. Second, using tech to speed growth and lift returns. Third, strengthening our direct fan ties by building a more linked Disney journey. At the heart of these goals is our One Disney model, which will let us fully tap the worth of our lineup for fans and owners alike.
This quarter at Disney Experiences, we grew global guests 4 percent year-over-year, with strong results at Walt Disney World, while also gaining from added capacity at Disney Cruise Line. Advance bookings at our home parks and cruise line stay firm, and we are putting funds in to keep that growth and, over the life of these plans, deliver solid growth returns. The lineup includes big attractions at every spot, such as Villains Land in Orlando and the Avengers Campus growth in Anaheim, plus others in the U.S., and our prior cruise ship growth plans.
At our studios, the strength of our franchise IP showed in the money and cultural reach of Toy Story 5, which just passed $1 billion at the global box office. The five Toy Story films have brought over $4 billion in global box office and over 2 billion hours streamed on Disney+. Across all sellers, Toy Story brings more than $1 billion a year in global sales and reaches fans at every Disney park and cruise ship, including four deep lands, 19 rides, and two hotels. That is the Disney cycle at work: one strong and lasting tale, shared across theaters, streaming, retail, and real-world spots. That link builds a setup no one else has matched.
Of course, I must note and cheer everyone on last weekend's record start for Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Cheers to Sony, Kevin Feige, and the Marvel Studios crew - it is a great result, and it shows once more that crowds will come out strong for top theater shows. Sixty-five years after his start, Spider-Man stays one of the top characters, via goods, parks, and streaming. And this weekend, it is a fine sign of just how much pull this franchise still holds. And it goes without saying that the win for Spider-Man looks good for our coming and much-awaited Avengers: Doomsday film.
Moving to streaming, Entertainment SVOD kept doing well in the quarter, and we hit a key mark in app unity, letting Hulu single and bundle users link profiles and handle subs on Disney+. Our long-term streaming plan rests on two main parts: make the core streaming spot the best in the field and link our businesses into one digital setup. In addition to our movies and shows, Disney+ will keep growing by combining games, goods, and further features while providing more tailored options, unique access, and perks for members. All of this aims to boost involvement, raise the worth offered, cut cancellations, and - most importantly - lift long-term fan worth. We plan to roll out parts of this wider setup starting in Spring of 2027.
That same plan also reaches Sports, where ESPN gives us another strong way to build our fan ties. This quarter, the deep drive of sports fans led to over 100 percent growth in NBA Finals and NHL postseason views across ESPN and ABC versus the prior season, making this the most viewed fiscal Q3 on ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN on ABC since 2016.
Behind all this work is our firm push to adopt new tech. Our firm was built on the mix of creativity and new tech - and keeping that path is a key goal for me and this leadership group. That is why we are using AI to deliver the latest tools to our creators. As I have said before, AI is not only about speed - it is about boosting a creative flow that stays centered on people, led by artists, and driven by creators.
To wrap it up, there is real focus across our firm. We know who we are: storytellers with a rare skill to reach fans in every form and place. When we pair that strength with pace, care, and new ideas, there is no bound to what we can do.
