After posting record results in 2025, Ashdod Port Company sustained its upward trend in the first quarter of 2026 with a 10 percent rise in revenue over the same period last year. Quarterly revenue hit a fresh high of NIS 331 million, accompanied by EBITDA of NIS 50 million and net profit of NIS 12 million after booking a NIS 39 million provision for employee bonuses tied to 2025 performance.

Shaul Schneider, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ashdod Port, stated that the port generated robust revenues in the first quarter despite the effects of Operation Roaring Lion. The period ended with a net profit near NIS 12 million and EBITDA of NIS 50 million. Port staff met the challenge by carrying out their national role and keeping operations fully continuous. Their efforts preserved cargo volumes and supported the ongoing equipment renewal program ahead of rising demand.

Development work advanced without pause amid ongoing conflict, including further expansion of backland areas and the accelerated finish of Berth 25 backland development. Key Financial Highlights - Q1 2026

Net profit reached NIS 12 million versus NIS 20 million in Q1 2025, mainly due to the employee war bonus provision.

Revenue totaled NIS 331 million compared with NIS 302 million in Q1 2025, marking about 10 percent growth.

Operating profit stood at NIS 9 million while activity continued despite Operation Roaring Lion. The amount includes the employee bonus provision. Operating profit in Q1 2025 was NIS 25 million.

EBITDA came in at NIS 50 million against NIS 61 million in Q1 2025.

No other expenses appeared in Q1 2026, versus NIS 4 million recorded in Q1 2025.

Net finance income was NIS 10 million compared with NIS 5 million in Q1 2025.

Shareholders equity on March 31, 2026, was NIS 2.714 billion versus NIS 2.776 billion on March 31, 2025, reflecting continued profitability and the dividend declared for 2025 results.

Container Segment

Container throughput in the first three months of 2026 reached about 186,000 TEUs, the same as the corresponding period in 2025, for a 38.6 percent market share.

Vehicle Segment

About 30,000 vehicles were unloaded at the port in the first three months of 2026, up from roughly 18,000 vehicles in the same period last year.

Bulk Cargo Segment

In the first three months of 2026 the port handled 2.388 million tons of bulk cargo, excluding fuel moved through offshore terminals, compared with 2.274 million tons in the same period of 2025, for a 50.7 percent market share.

General Cargo Segment

General cargo volume in the first three months of 2026 totaled 251,000 tons versus 359,000 tons in the corresponding period last year. The drop aligns with wider market trends and softer demand in real estate and equipment sectors.

Cruise Passenger Segment

The current security situation has paused cruise ship calls for now, and the port is readying for their return.
