PwC and Anthropic have revealed a major expansion of their alliance partnership.

Anthropic is determined to establish Claude as the standard AI solution for U.S. corporations - and PwC stands as one of its primary conduits.

On Thursday, PwC and Anthropic disclosed a substantial alliance expansion, designed to integrate AI into the foundational systems of major enterprises.

The enhanced collaboration emphasizes three core pillars: supporting engineering teams in creating agentic AI applications for clients, integrating AI throughout deal advisory workflows, and transforming clients' fundamental operating structures with AI.

PwC intends to train and certify 30,000 U.S. employees on Claude Code while extending access to its worldwide staff of 364,000. The partners will also create a joint Center of Excellence.

This union combines Anthropic's cutting-edge AI strengths with PwC's deep industry knowledge, empowering organizations to shift "from exploration to enterprise-wide impact with greater confidence," according to Paul Griggs, senior partner and CEO of PwC US, in a statement.

Claude is now embedded in ChatPwC - the firm's proprietary AI assistant - and supports active client work in areas like finance, supply chain management, and dealmaking.

In an announcement, Dario Amodei, Anthropic's co-founder and CEO, commended PwC's AI-driven results: "Insurance underwriting that once required 10 weeks now completes in 10 days. Security tasks that took hours are done in minutes."

The agreement marks the newest in Anthropic's series of pacts with key influencers in corporate spending, technology acquisition, and operational redesign.

Earlier this May, Anthropic teamed up with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management for a $1.5 billion AI services fund aimed at accelerating business adoption of its technology.

This tactic provides Anthropic entry to high-profile names in finance and professional services, plus their vast networks of portfolio companies and clients eager to validate AI's role in enhancing productivity and profitability.

OpenAI holds alliance deals with leading consultancies including BCG, Accenture, Capgemini, and PwC. Google recently launched a $750 million investment to aid firms like McKinsey, Accenture, and Deloitte in implementing agentic AI solutions.

Data from Ramp's May AI Index indicates Anthropic hit 34.4% business adoption in April, topping OpenAI's 32.3% - a notable turnaround in a sector OpenAI previously led. The surge ties closely to Claude Code's popularity, the report notes.
